Between the Johan Friso canal (Jeltesloot) and the canal ‘t Var to Heeg, there has been a beautiful island called “Goudem Bodem” for centuries. It borders the eponymous nature reserve. In January 1998 this island was opened up by a bridge and it was possible to realize a fantastic water sports recreation area. The Marina Van Roeden Watersport is part of this.
